Energy is at the base of all human development and, if accessible, is an essential growing factor. But if this development is to be sustainable, the way of producing energy will have to be sustainable as well. If this concept is applied, global harm to the environment and waste of natural resources will certainly diminish if not disappear.

Residential users are becoming more and more aware of this problem and can now have access to this new forms of energy thanks to the subventions program launched by the CE. Italy in general and the Italian Riviera in particular possess a considerable amount of renewable sources, namely, sun, wind, mountain streams, mass from the forests and agriculture, manure from animal farms to transform into biogas, etc.
